KIT ORDERS

Hey guys I am now taking orders for kit, so please read complete email.

ALL current members of the club are required to buy the complete kit. I can’t show you any mock ups yet but when I have a final design I will send it out. Trust me it is going to look amazing and involves cool wrap around designs with the london sky line, a very cool lion, and personalised numbered shorts. You will be then envy of the frisbee community.

New Hoodies

Hey Thrown, an absolutely awesome weekend.

Now the season has kicked off proper we can start ordering kit and hoodies. First thing I will be sending off is a Hoodie order for which I’ve created the below for for everybody to fill out.

hello!
there has been no social tonight guys as thrown are well boring.

not really! tomorrow night we are going roller disco-ing! it’s in Vauxhall, not far from the tube station.
The plan is – meet at mine and harry’s flat at 7pm onwards (its a massive flat so everyone is welcome). here we shall have lots of fun drinks and more fun. From here we may go on to a pub near the roller disco – the location of a couple of thrown players’ darts match – where we can cheer on some thrown players whilst having some nice drinks. Then we’ll aim to get to the roller disco for 9.30/10pm. The place closes at midnight, and just over 2 hours of roller disco is the perfec amount. The cost to get in is £6 if you have your kings student card with you. without that it will cost £10. these prices include the rental of skates and padding!

if you havent been before its really bloody fun so make sure you come along. Having too much work to do is not an excuse, and nor is ’i cant skate’!

Fitness is OFF tomorrow!
I still feel like crap, and brighton has just about finished me off.
If someone wants to run the session in my place I’m very happy for it to still go ahead, just send a message out to everyone.

Hello everyone!

Just a message to say make sure you come to Brighton as not only are we going to be well amazing at playing frisbee but also the social side is gonna be wicked. There will be the themed party saturday night so make sure you bring your zombie gear, but also over the weekend we will be running a scavenger hunt where you’ll be split in to teams and over the two days have a list of things you are challenged to find. The team with the most items from the list wins a prize!

Wicked! We can’t wait for Brighton.

I’ve checked the train prices, listed below.

London Bridge -> Brighton (first capital connect 2 tph, or southern 1 connection 2tph)
Brighton -> Falmer (southern 4 tph)

Return (off peak): £29.30 pp
GroupSave 4: £58.60 = £14.65 pp (but must travel as a group)
GroupSave 3: £58.60 = £19.53 pp (travel as a group)
16-25 Railcard: £19.55 pp (but can travel individually)

So it is best to travel as a maximal groups of 4s… and if not, 3s… then railcards.
The FCC train to brighton also runs via St Pancras before stopping at London Bridge, and I’m assuming (don’t quote me on this) that trains from Victoria are the same price as well.

Hi guys,

Ok, so Brighton this weekend. We will be meeting at London Bridge at 6.00. Please can everyone get there sharpish so we can organise group saver tickets

If you cannot get there for then please let me know and you can join us in Brighton whenever you can (07912560737). We will be getting the train to Falmer, and then heading to the Sussex Union Bar, having a few drinks, and then going to the players’ houses who are very kindly putting us up.

So things not to forget:-

Green shirt, if you have one
white shirt
trainers
some warm clothes
swimming trunks
shower stuff and towel
washbag (toothpaste and brush etc)
your zombie fancy dress
sleeping bag (plus sleeping matt if you have it, but I never bother)
snacks and drinks (but there will be plenty to buy down there)

something for the bag (the bag, the bag) – this is a long running tradition at Thrown, whereby each member of the team makes a small contribution to ’the bag’, previous items include sweets, toys, flags, collapsible pint glass (basically anything of little worth that someone wouldnt mind winning), and the member of the team who has the best defence over the tournament (as is voted by the team) wins the bag

Sorry about the spreadsheet not working, looks like google has recently changed editing settings to read only by default and that’s why no one was able to fill in the form…
I’ve now fixed the issue (hopefully), but due to the deadline being quite close, could everyone EMAIL DAN ABOUT BRIGHTON ASAP instead.

Priority:
3. Fill in your Indoor Open, Mixed and Women availabilities online (http://tinyurl.com/6e26gml) + email dan just in case google breaks it again.

4. Pay UKUA subscription to play at nationals
5. Kit order spreadsheet (when I’ve heard what prices / options we have)

I also couldnt get the google docs thing to work, so just to let you know, I can do the brighton tournament but neither of the two regionals in the weeks following that.
