Thrown Speed Dating was really great fun yesterday and it was a huge success too. Thanks to all who attended and those who made it happen – especially our in-house love doctor Fowzia!

A staggering £233 was raised for the team!

Hey boys and girls!

Big saturday coming up! I’m sure everyone is crazy excited for Ultimate Speed Dating but the weekends about to get a bit more ultimate.

I’ve arranged some matches with dD this Saturday, it will be a proper full length game (90mins) or first to 15.
We are going to have a 1st team and 2nd team game going on, so we need big turn out. Everyone is welcome, it will be a great preview to regionals, I highly recommend you make yourself free especially if you plan on playing at regionals. It will be great experience as dD have been undefeated so far in london league, hopefully we can knock them off their high horse.

We plan to start the matches at 1:30 so you need to be at Hyde park at 12:15 (make sure you are on time) for a proper warm up and some pre game drills, maybe even some last minute tactics. We should be finished in good time for everyone to get dolled up for the evening.

SOCIAL NEWZ: there is no social tomorrow evening, and i’ll tell you why! because the social will be on saturday. lots of people have lots of work and lots of people dont have lots of money so can do two nights a week and stoof. also there’s only so many times we can go out on the wednesday but not on the saturday! the social event is the social event of the year. it’s perfect for our team, the most incestuous frisbee team in the world. we’re having a spped dating night wahoo! i think everyone is know aware that’s thecase anyway. if you didn’t know it starts at 7pm on saturday at the Hercule’s Pilar Bar in west london, but no too west!

this will definitely be a super evening! there will not only be us there but also imperial uni frisbee players and ucl frisbee players. and some people that dont play frisbee at all (weirdos)!

Thrown practice tomorrow! (About blooming time)

Apologies it has been so long between practices but unfortunately we couldn’t do much about the weather.

So practice is 1:30pm tomorrow, we still have loads to cover with outdoor regionals fast approaching, luckily the days are getting longer so we can spend longer out in the park.
To wet your appetites we will be doing some new zone stuff and try some break throws. I CAN’T WAIT!

I shall be at hyde park at 1pm setting up wonky pitches and doing some fitness if anyone would like to join me.

Thrown I have to apologies I have drunk one Manhattan too many and will not be coming up town today
to do throwing. It’s freezing cold anyway and there wasn’t much interest from people, so I think it’s better we all stay in our nice warm homes.

BUT if you do need your fix, Flump are meeting at 1 for a chuck about.

Alright this snow is seriously interfering with my ultimate. Not happy.

Despite the weather I’m planning on going Hyde park around tomorrow afternoon to work on throws. It would be great to have some company, if people are up for it we’ll have a little throwing clinic then maybe fitness or mini games if the pitches thaw at all.

hey guys, just a message to let you know that PRACTICE IS CANCELLED TODAY!!!!!!

Contrary to Joe’s earlier email, we’ve looked at Hyde Park and the grounds are completely frozen over, so we wouldn’t be able to play

BUT… we will all be meeting in Guy’s bar at 2.30pm today, to generally have a chat and play some games where it’s nice and warm
everyone do come, it’ll be nice to relax with everyone again!

tell everyone you see that training has been cancelled and pass the message on!

Right Thrown it is Bloody Cold!!!

Make sure you wrap up really warm, like a serious amount of layers.
We’ll gauge it when we get there, either way it will be a shorter practice with loads of running to keep warm.
If pitch conditions are unplayable we will all go hang out in a warm pub and play some games!

Right travelling supporters (preferably more than just me)
No winter league tomorrow, so come support/shout at/heckle the ladies tomorrow. They were great today and having a few more people on the sideline would be top notch. (Decent shout out to Nishil and JP (from SB) who were there today)
I’m probably getting the 8.06 from kings cross, if any one else wants to be there for that, give us a call.
If not, make your own way there, (Hertfordshire Sports Village, AL10 9EU) at some point.
First game 9.20 and last game finishes half 12.

Right then thrown.
Tomorrow I’ll be heading over to HATFIELD (Hertfordshire Sports Village, AL10 9EU) to support our WOMENS TEAMS!
We’ve got 2 teams entered into regionals and having a load of us lot stood on the sideline shouting at them will be really good for them and jolly good fun.
The first game is at 9 o’clock. So I will be at KINGS CROSS at about 10 to 8. that is 7.50 to buy tickets etc and get the 08.11 train to hatfield.

It will be great fun, being a spectator is well good, its ace. brilliant!
If you want to come along at any point in the day that is great, tomorrows games finish before 2ish, so just come along at some point.

Right, as we’ve got no practice on saturday, I’m going to go support the ladies. I know a couple of other lads said they’d be up for it as well, it would be good to get as many of us there as possible, just to cheer on and heckle other teams.
I had a look at the schedule, first game is at 9 and last game is at 2 so its not even taking up loads of your day. No excuses not to go.

Howdy Thrown!

Unfortunately there will be no Saturday practice this weekend as the girls are playing at regionals and other Thrown members, myself included, aren’t about this weekend.

As you are now free on Saturday you can go and cheer on our Ladies this weekend, it’s always good to do a bit of sideline shouting ’YEAH THROWN’ to support your team mates! They are playing at St. Albans I do believe so not far, plus there will be loads of girls there

If you are in London and do want your weekend Ultimate fix, Flump normally train at 1:30 on Saturday (I will confirm if they are having a training later).
